ISUG .NET Training Days

The ground is swelling

At the beginning of December, I delivered two full day .NET Training workshops in conjunction with local ISUG PB User Groups.  The first was in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The turnout was amazing;  29 developers registered and showed up.

The second was in Minneapolis, Minnesota; 19 developers registered and attended.

Attendees got a complete overview of the .NET platform and how PowerBuilder .NET fits into it.  They learned hands-on many of the ins and outs of migrating Classic applications to .NET and did a rapid fire skill set transition from the Classic IDE to the .NET Visual Studio IDE.  Energy levels were high, audience questions were rapid fire and interest was strong.  At the end of the day, developer satisfaction was high.  Here's what one developer said, " This was some of the best training money I think my company has ever spent.  Even if I never used the .Net portion of the training, the expanded knowledge on classic PB garnered from the comparisons with .net was worth the cost in time and money.    And I will use the .net training too.  ...   Yakov brought a practical down-to-earth perspective that was very encouraging.  He didn't say we won't have problems, he helped us to identify and fix them.  He also reminded us of things we once knew but had somehow misplaced in our personal memory archives."

Let me or ISUG know if you'd like to bring this event to your location
